Marabu ClearShield Classic
For: General-purpose print protection
ClearShield Classic is a high-viscosity, water-based liquid coating providing outstanding UV, chemical, and abrasion resistance. Suitable for most non-water-sensitive materials, it delivers the highest film build in the ClearShield range and is ideal for vinyl, banners, vehicle graphics, and signage.
Formulated with advanced UV inhibitors and HALS stabilisers, it protects against fading, wear, and dirt pick-up—offering film-laminate performance at up to 60% lower cost.
Application: Apply by hand using a short-nap or foam roller. Two coats are recommended, allowing one hour between coats. Excellent for vertical applications.
Marabu ClearShield Classic Lite
For: Banners, Vehicle Graphics, Billboards, and Signage
ClearShield Classic Lite is a lower-viscosity, water-based liquid coating offering the same high-level UV, chemical, and abrasion resistance as ClearShield Classic. Ideal for most non-water-sensitive materials, it provides durable protection at up to 60% lower cost than film lamination.
Formulated with advanced UV inhibitors and HALS stabilisers, Classic Lite protects against fading, wear, and dirt pick-up. It can be applied by hand with a roller or using automated spray equipment, making it highly versatile for production environments.
Application: Apply with a short-nap or foam roller, or an HVLP spray gun (1.3–1.6 mm tip at 45–55 psi). Two coats recommended, allowing one hour between coats.
Marabu ClearShield Anti-Graffiti
For: Banners, Vehicle Graphics, Billboards, and Signage
ClearShield Anti-Graffiti is a two-part, water-based coating providing unmatched protection against graffiti, paint, markers, and harsh cleaning agents. Designed for areas prone to vandalism or heavy wear, it offers exceptional durability, chemical resistance, and UV protection with a high-gloss finish.
Formulated with state-of-the-art UV inhibitors, it ensures long-lasting clarity and surface protection even in demanding outdoor environments. Ideal for street and building signage, banners, and wall coverings, it keeps surfaces easy to clean and looking new for longer.
Application: Apply by hand with a short-nap or high-density foam roller, or via HVLP spray gun. Mix at an 8:1 ratio (Part A to Part B by volume) before application.
Marabu ClearShield Canvas Guard
For: Fine Art Canvas and Giclée Prints
ClearShield Canvas Guard is a flexible, water-based coating designed specifically for canvas and Giclée applications. Its unique formulation allows coated canvases to be stretched without cracking, making it ideal for fine art reproduction and gallery wraps.
Engineered for micro-porous and porous inkjet canvases, it helps minimise pinholes and provides outstanding UV, abrasion, and chemical resistance. The coating is non-yellowing, enhances colour vibrancy, and ensures a long-lasting, professional finish.
Application: Apply by hand using a high-density foam or short-nap (3/16”) roller. Two thin coats are recommended, allowing 30–60 minutes drying time between applications.

ClearShield for the StarLam is a water-based liquid coating formulated specifically for roll-to-roll application using the Marabu StarLam Liquid Laminator or other automated laminating systems. It delivers the same level of protection as film laminates while saving up to 60% in production costs.
This coating provides exceptional UV, chemical, and abrasion resistance, utilising advanced UV inhibitors and HALS stabilisers to ensure long-term outdoor durability. Designed for high-speed automated finishing, it offers consistent coverage and a smooth, professional finish for wide-format graphics.
Application: Apply using automated laminating equipment such as the StarLam or by HVLP spray gun (1.3–1.6 mm tip at 45–55 psi).

ClearShield Wall Armor is a Type II certified, water-based coating engineered for digitally printed wall coverings in commercial environments. It provides the trusted protection of the ClearShield range, combined with added stain, abrasion, and fire resistance for projects that demand higher safety and durability standards.
Compatible with latex, eco-solvent, and UV-curable inks, Wall Armor ensures a strong, washable surface that meets the requirements for retail, hospitality, healthcare, and office installations. Tested and proven with leading wall-covering materials such as DreamScape, Korographics, and PhotoTex, it delivers consistent, professional results.
Application: Apply manually with a short-nap roller (two coats, one hour drying time between), or via automated laminator such as the StarLam 1600R. Also suitable for HVLP spray systems (1.3–1.6 mm tip at 45–55 psi).
