Our proud history
The Kissel+Wolf name has been part of the printing world for well over a century. From a 19th-century German trading company to a family-owned international group, here is how we came to power print across Australia and New Zealand.
Today the group is headquartered in Wiesloch, near Heidelberg, where it remains a family-owned business and the manufacturer behind trusted names like KIWO and ULANO. Around 15% of its people work in research and development — a commitment to innovation that flows all the way through to the products on your shop floor.
1893
A name is born in Mannheim
Kissel + Wolf is founded in Germany as a trading company for glues, growing into one of the region's most important specialist wholesalers.
1956
A new home in Wiesloch
The Eisenbeiss family acquires the business and relocates production to Wiesloch, near Heidelberg, where the company remains headquartered today as a family-owned business.
1960s
Screen & textile chemistry takes off
Under Richard F. Eisenbeiss, chemical products for screen and textile printing become a global success — the AZOCOL emulsions and PREGAN and PREGASOL lines become worldwide top sellers.
1980s
Kissel+Wolf comes to Australia
The group establishes its Australian arm, bringing globally engineered products and technical know-how to printers across Australia and New Zealand.
